The fourth week of Big Brother 22 All-Stars is almost over, and I’m just now getting around to talking about week 3.

Have I been dragging my feet since Janelle’s eviction, not wanting to write about it and solidify it in my reality?

Wow. You’re perceptive!

When an all-stars season of a favorite show comes on for the first time in 15 years, you really want all the stars to stick around for as long as possible to battle it out…right?

Alas, we don’t have that yet this season. Janelle’s eviction is about the quickest way to reduce the house’s overall star power. And beyond that, it minimizes my hope that there will be epic battles among our remaining stars.

At this point, we just have to hope for an explosive season. But there aren’t many signs so far.

Alright, so let’s do this. Here’s a recap for the third week of BB22.

Competitions

Head of Household

Following Nicole A.’s eviction, Tyler slides to victory. He beats Janelle out by one point, which makes the entire BB fandom cry.

Tyler nominates Janelle and Kaysar. They escaped danger in the first couple of weeks, but their time has finally come.

Safety Suite

This week, competitors contorted Mission Impossible-style through a maze of laser beams.

Enzo wins and grants Christmas safety for the week. This also ties Enzo for most competition wins so far this season.

Power of Veto

I certainly recall Cody putting the cupcake tops and bottoms in their place. But other than that? Not a terribly interesting comp.

Oh, and Tyler won this too, keeping his nominations the same.

Third Eviction

Like Thanos, this was inevitable.

Janelle Pierzina is perhaps the most legendary Big Brother player ever, so there was no way she would be allowed to survive another week.

While it was nice to see Kaysar and Janelle reunited, their pairing this season was to their detriment. Either of them alone would have been threatening enough. And together? Yeah, there was almost no other way this could’ve gone.

Where that leaves us…

I am writing this after the week 4 nominations. Therefore, it’s easy to say that Kaysar is likely following Janelle out the door.

And with that, this season is at a low point.

Here’s the thing: we need conflict. And there is some – not everyone is besties, and there are certainly sub-alliances that will soon be forced to pick sides. But overall? These first three weeks have been a snooze.

Wake me up when something is shaken up in the Big Brother 22 house.

Thanks for sharing some tea with me today! Be sure to come back each week to talk about what’s new in the Big Brother 22 house. Xoxo, T.
